What is useKit?
useKit is a buildup of various helpful Missions that make surfing the web more efficient. These useKit Missions allow you to:
- have an address displayed in a map (Map Mission)
- tweet directly from the website you are visiting (Twitter Mission)
- remember interesting websites (Mark Mission)
- write your personal notes (Sticky Mission)
- do quick word translations (Translate Mission)
- ... and more exists and a lot more Missions will come soon (see here).
Improve your surfing efficiency and productivity by employing those useKit Missions that meet your personal surfing needs.
Why useKit and not Firefox extensions?
Do you use Firefox and get annoyed if...
- ... you have to install updates
- ... you have to restart your browser because of new updates
- ... you switch to another computer and miss some extensions
- ... you use another web browser and miss some extensions
- ... you switch to another browser version and extensions don't work
... then you should have a look at useKit (We also have a Firefox extension - but no further effort is required).
How do I use useKit?

- Drag the icon on the right to your bookmarks bar. If this is not possible, right-click and select 'add to favorites'.
- Visit any website, activate useKit by clicking your stored bookmark and profit from the opportunities of the various useKit Missions. If you experience any difficulties with utilizing useKit please let us know, we are happy to assist you.
Is there a plugin to have useKit permanently available?
A FireFox plugin is available at: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/46161/
Is it possible to minimize or hide the useKit menubar?
Yes. When you click on the arrow in the right corner of the useKit menu bar, the menu bar disappears.
How can I restore a lost password?
We do not have access to your password, but you can reset your password by following this link: Password recovery

Missions
The goal of all Missions is to facilitate and accelerate your web surfing experience.
CrunchBase Mission
Helps with getting quick information about companies in the technology sector. Select a company name and click on the Mission icon.
Delicious Mission
Connects to your delicious account and stores new bookmarks you like. Don't waste time - it is really fast. Confirm that Delicious allows access from useKit here.
Map Mission
Select any address within any website and click on the Map Mission to receive an embedded geographic map within the respective website.
Mark Mission
The Mark Mission allows you to put together a list of all websites that you might want to return to. In contrast to regular bookmark lists, you can access your personal useKit list of marked websites from any computer and from any browser.
Share Mission
Connect to ShareThis from any web site and share what you discovered.
Sticky Mission
The Sticky Mission allows you to add private notes to any website. An overview of all your notes is always available at your sticky list. You have to activate useKit first in order to see your notes on the respective website.
Translate Mission
Select words or texts and click on the Translate Mission Icon to have them translated. In the submenu of the Translate Mission, you can choose the following source and target languages: English, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
Twitter Mission
The Twitter Mission allows you to twitter directly from a webpage including url-shortening. This saves you a lot of page loadings. Confirm that Twitter allows access from useKit here.
